review 1: I have read the other books in this particular series and liked them. This one, however, annoyed me a bit. First of all, I guessed the ending at the beginning, which is always slightly disappointing! Also, I thought Grace (the heroine) was a bit too trusting to be believable in this story. She is a thirty-something single woman who has been duped by men before...her naivete was completely unrealistic.
review 2: Grace has a lot to deal with on her job as curator for the beautiful Marshfield mansion, not least the owner's step-daughter, who resents Grace's closeness to the man. She'd resent it even more if she knew hidden family tie that binds them. Grace is trying to supervise a camera crew making a CD for publicity purposes, when a tourist is attacked and kil... moreled, and another one is shot. The local police are baffled, so Grace feels that she must investigate, especially when she befriends the attractive injured man. less
