review 1: This is the first Julie Hyzy book I've read. It was a good read but parts were a bit disconnected for me. Perhaps if I read the series in order. Grace and Bennet start out in Italy's Tuscan countryside visiting an old friend when they discover an art theft. They silently take their leave but there is a homicide on flight to US and they are chased by murderer back home. I would suggest starting this series at book one.
review 2: After just finishing the newest addition of the Manor House Series, I have decided that though I truly do enjoy Grace and the series, I much prefer the White House Chef series. In this newest book, Grace and Bennett are returning from their 2 week long vacation when trouble finds them. Grace is brave and clever. I do enjoy her as a ... morecharacter. The mystery wasn't too hard to solve on my own, but I did enjoy finishing the book. I just wish Grace would have better luck in finding someone. (Because, apparently that is important to me in my cozy mysteries). Thanks, Julie, for a fun read. less
