Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom
review 1: This is a good series. I plowed through the first four books a while back then saw this on library shelf and picked it up. Kate was brought up as a Vatican approved demon hunter but retired when she and her husband started a family. But, she's full scale back into the world with her teenage daughter and new husband training beside her as they try to free her first husband (dead, returned from the dead, dead again and returned once more) from a demon possession.Fluffy yet emotional with plenty of action.
review 2: I had started this series several years ago and had gotten this book and just never read it. I decided it was time to dust it off and give it a go. I think I didn't want the book to be over because I knew the series was so fantastically wonderful. Fra
... morenkly, I never forgot the story line after all this time reading one of the books in the series. Which for me means the story stands the test of time. I would rate this book a 5/5 (which is my standard way of rating my reading) because it kept my interest throughout and I didn't feel it was dragging me down or that I was bored with the story or writing and ready to get on with the next book. Ms. Kenner has a wonderful reading style and while I haven't read any other of her books other than the books in this series I doubt anyone would be disappointed with any of her books. Katie's story continues with her daughter now wanting to be a part of the demon hunting business. Kate knows there is really no way to stop her because she sees herself in her daughter. But little do they know this could be the most difficult time for them not only as a mother and daughter but also as demon hunters. Allie, Katie's daughter, is strong will and prone to get her way most of the time and when she wants to be a part of the fight to save her father's soul Kate obviously has reservations on whether she wants here there or not. The decision is finally made and there is no turning back. The book has some really creepy characters and some strange situations, and yes, you do have to suspend belief for a bit but in the end it is worth it because Kate being a mom and a demon hunter seem to go naturally hand in hand. I like to root for the underdog in the stories I read and this one it was hard to really decide who the underdog was and sometimes it was hard to really love one of the characters but in the end there was hope. The story is very fast paced and fun in places. There is humor and seriousness but there is also a romance story of lives connected for all eternity. This is the love story (minus the demons of course) everyone would love to have. I cried knowing the characters hearts were broken and I rooted for them hoping all would be resolved and like would continue to go on. The way the book ends suggest there might be another installment in the Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series and this reader certainly hopes so. I love me some Julie Kenner.Michele less

It was a quick and easy read. I liked it for the most part, but I was dissappointed at the ending.
