review 1: A fun read-a sweet chick lit novel set in Northern Italy. This is the story of Lily an Ex Pat a big Hearted American. S he is going through a Divorce and she is also the Mother of young twins. She gets a job working for a big Hollywood star as a maid. She finds intrigue around every corner, Lily must face such horrors as rampaging kittens, the gardener with the mysterious orange box . And another housemaid who claims the Italian Prime Minister will die at any moment. All in a quest to find love. Hilarious laugh out loud funny at times. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
review 2: Loved the way these stories unfold in Downton Abbeyesque type episodes. I know most reviews are either people who love or hate the book. I was neither. My sister rec
... moreommended to me and I was luke warm at the idea of chick lit. But I warmed up quickly to Lily. She is a simple person, but the book is well-written with a plot and many sub-plots running through it. I admit I liked it enough to buy my own version and gave my sister back her kindle. less
