review 1: it was actually a gud n entertaining story but the problem lied wid their sexual frustrations. it was idiotic at times. ur wife wants u but u made some daft promise, so u have 2 keep it. stella was quite the stupidest heroine i ever came across. she's actually informed dat clan campbell r coming 2 attack their fort n alecsk was drugged 2 help her. dat is 4 her 2 have time 2 inform kade. instead of doing dat, she actually binds him 2 the bed n wants the marriage consummated. this cud wait, stupid lass !! i just cud not stand stella !! now, some time later she actually releases kade from the enemy's clutches n instead of fleeing or planning their next strategy. they proceed in the hills 2 have sex. at kade's insistence but she wanted it badly too ! they really annoyed me 2 h... moreell wid their damn sexual life !! very bad book though entertaining
review 2: I read the first book of this series, Highlander Claimed, and was completely swept away by it. This book does the same thing. It's very hard to put down! I really got swept away by the story as soon as I started reading. This writer has a great style that I really enjoy. The writing is very romantic and creative. This is a very well-written book. And the first person narrative effectively makes the action seem more personal, like you're feeling the emotions and events alongside the narrator.I liked Stella, and I felt for her. She had a lot to overcome after the abuse she suffered from her father and his soldiers. She's a great heroine who really comes out of her shell once she realizes her new husband is not as intimidating as he first seems. And Kade. Oh, Kade. Love love love :) An absolutely AMAZING hero. One of the dreamiest heroes I've read. I love how his softer side shines through again and again as he proves to Stella that he's worthy of her trust. I wished he would step off the pages!A must read!! I absolutely loved this book. Can't wait for Knox's story. less
