review 1: A good read. Definitely a different take on demons. I thought Sam and Jax were great. Sam is true in her love for Jax and he is the ever sacrificing hero. I do feel this got a bit old. This is what kept me from 4 stars. I love you but I have to leave, I love you but I can't be with you , I love you but....... and on. I thought they might work towards something by the end with all the good sacrifices people made but no. The record just kept repeating right up until the end.
review 2: more like 4.5 stars.... I liked this twist on Cain and Abel.... brother against brother... love/hate....I knew Chase was a jerk but it came full circle and he deserves whatever he gets... and then Jax everything he did was for the right reasons in his mind and probably the right ... morereasons period but he isn't as bad as he thinks he is and he proved that over and over.. by fighting what his inner demon felt about his brother over his whole life and of course Sam.. Sam now she is the strongest of them all and I'm hoping things work out and she gets her HEA... Heckle well I didn't expect that... Sadie I have a feeling what she's up to isn't good but I'll just have to wait and see. so now to wait til book 2... less
