review 1: Great introduction to what is more commonly known as presuppositional apologetics. Dr. Oliphant renames the approach aptly but still sticks to the same biblical foundations. One of my favorite parts of the book are the dialogs he imagines to show logical outworking of the biblical presuppositions of a Covenantal apologetic in various apologetic discussions. This book has greatly effected the way I think about defending and sharing my faith and strengthened my own faith as well. Highly recommended.
review 2: This book is essentially an introduction to presuppositional apologetics (the author wishes to change the name presuppositional to Covenantal, an out of respect for the author, I am willing to do so, however, it must be noted that it is the very same as Van
... moreTillian apologetics.) for a person who has never read any apologetical material prior to this book. It is an interesting read (my copy which was new, is now covered in writing, highlighting and notes), however I found myself disagreeing with the author about as often as I disagree with authors like Heidegger (if not more). My full review will be published on my blog in a couple of days (philosopherdhaines.blogspot.ca). less

A very helpful book, though Frame's "Apologetics to the Glory of God" is perhaps more accessible.

Basic point: never defend a Christ-less Christianity.
