review 1: I was intrigued to read this because I love the Record Series of K.A. Linde. I've read it without expectations because I didn't read the synopsis. The cheating part of the story was fine with me because it is more exciting but what i can't comprehend with all the comprehension I've acquired in my whole existence is that why Jack is so infuriating? I mean, he's hot and that's given.. He's a selfish bastard whose to fearful of commitment. He's hopeless.Lexi, she's also stupid but I like her. I like her loyalty though that loyalty was for Jack the jackass (yes, that's what I call him). How could he ask Lexi to cheat for him when he's sooooooo. I don't know, I just hate him. Going back to Lexi, I can't blame her to fall head over heels to Jack because he's such a sweet talker ... moreand made you believe of false hope. I still keep on reading this series even though it just make me angry to Jack and sad for Lexi. lexi deserves all the love in the world and that would never be from Jack. How the book was written is amazing. Past and Present variations is cool. It made me think more and focus on every chapter for me not miss anything in the story. I love that. What I truly love in every chapter break is lyrics of songs related to the chapter. That was cool and very expressive. I really love and anticipated in every beginning of the chapter for what song lyrics would be featured next. I still love this series even though it made mad and so freaking curious!!!
review 2: I think I finished this book because I couldn't believe what a train wreck it was. This is an anti-romance, and Jack and what's-her-name are the two most destructive characters I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. Unfortunately, I bought this as a bundle. Fortunately, I paid fewer than $3. So I did skim the rest of the "series" only to discover that these two unlikable people wind up together in the end afterglow of the cheating on significant others and a divorce. I can only assume that the series ended because they cheated on each other yet again and spent the rest of their lives miserable. less
