review 1: Very sweet. I was a little hesitant at the back story. Who needs to read a story about a school shooting?! I read to escape the news. But this was done well. Absolutely loved Sean and Kyle but my fav - Tony, the friend! What a scream he was! Definitely reading his book. The action in this book was a trifle disjointed. Might have been me, but I had trouble following the action. And Brandt - wow, I wondered about him. Great depiction of what happens to survivors after such a traumatic occurrence. Secondary characters like Kyle's family and Sean's were so well drawn. Love K.A. Mitchell!!
review 2: Surprised myself by really liking this one. While there was a lot of hot steamy sex scenes(which is a must for me), I was really drawn to the characters and... more wanted to know what was going to happen to them. Plot wasn't too typical: established couple with good relationship, tragedy hits, and it throws them for a loop. My only (small) complaint was because I was immersed in the plot (for a change lol) and really cared about the characters, I didn't love how they always used sex to make up. But all in all a good read - good plot, likable MC, great sex scenes. less
