review 1: I'm having some mixed feelings about this book. There's just something about a book with grown ass adults still trying to live their lives to please mommy and daddys rules that just ruins a book for me. Jesse was not only an adult but a freaken Marine, he needed to grown up and live his life for him and not mama.. These two MCs were both nuttier than squirrel shit and both had issues that made them not right for eachother, you saw the shit hitting the fan before it happened.
review 2: I agree with some of the other reviewers that the beginning of the book was difficult to like, particularly the way the female characters were handled. That said, I really liked Jesse's character development. As someone who has had both personal and professional experience worki
... moreng with young people who have attempted suicide, I think the way the author handled Tucker's mental health issues was quite sensitive and accurate. Really great book overall, if you can stick with it. I'm excited to read more from this author! less
