review 1: This Mad Mad Love....... I don't know where to start. The books is this series kept getting better and better. Ms. Aymes you are such an amazing writer when it comes to unconditional and true love! "A Love Like This" continues with Ryan and Julia's story after they marry. Ryan starts his residency in a New York city emergency room. While Julia is still working for the same magazine. They still have such a smoldering, yearning love, it will absolutely take your breath away. Even thought swoon-worthy Ryan is working many long hours he and Julia decide to try to have a baby. Of course life has to have its ups and downs, so one night while on duty a young boy is brought in hurt from a gang fight and while Ryan and a nurse, Jane work on him rival gang members come in to ... morefinish the boy. The nurse ends up stepping in front of Ryan to save him but almost gets herself killed in the process. Jane is taken into surgery and because of her wounds she will no longer be able to have children. Ryan is such a noble and honorable man he feels very sorry for her. Julia and he take her under their wings at first because of the guilt and gratitude they feel. However, this backfires on Julia when it becomes obvious that Jane is after Ryan. Ryan can't see it and for the first time he doesn't put Julia first. He wants her to get over her jealously and have more compassion for Jane. This part of the story was so frustrating and broke my heart. I won't give the rest away, needless to say I love these characters and this series. The epilogue was wonderful and the poem made me cry. This is a MUST READ series. I would love to see by stories about the secondary characters from this series, but don't have any idea is that is planned.
review 2: Pleasantly surprised by this final book in the trilogy! Considering how I didn't completely enjoy the first one, I was impressed at how much I like this one. I was not disappointed at all. It had just the right amount of angst and drama that had me fighting for the couple, and looking forward to seeing their HEA. If you're able to make it through the sugary wholesome sweetness of the first book in the trilogy, keep at it and you might just be satisfied with this ending! less
