Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit
review 1: This is the first Star Wars novel I've ever read (well, this and the novelization of AotC which I read when I was a kid) so I have no grounds for comparison, but I really enjoyed it. It's a little daunting how much extended universe books there are, but since I grew up with the prequel trilogy I thought it'd be a good idea to start with books that take place in that era. I will probably always prefer the movies, but the books do allow you to get a little deeper under the characters' skins.
review 2: I was very close to giving this book at 4 star review but the fact that it was a cliff hanger, made me mad and I knocked it down to 3. The relationships of Obi-wan and Anakin are portrayed really well. I enjoy reading anything about Anakin especially when we learn m
... moreore deeply into his thoughts. (he still has major ex-Slave issues)Another highlight was Bail Organa has a big role in this book and I enjoyed reading about Leia's adoptive father.I like the Clone War series. Ashoka is not my favorite character but I understand she is a character for young children not made just for me. Luckily she has a very very small part in the series so I didn't get annoyed with her around.Karen Miller is a great author and I look forward to reading more of her Star Wars novels. less
