review 1: Had i known i was that close to the end i would have finished it last night!My expectations were a little too high for this one!! It was short and to the point however i expected a lot more heat in the short scene. It is classified as BDSM because of the little and i do mean little bit of dominance that occurred. Leland spent too much time talking during their scene that it took away from the pleasure. It also quickly skimmed the bases of the sex and it was too rushed. Adding maybe 3 more pages of hotness and we have perfect erotica! Plus if this story is to really fit into its rightful categories it needed a little more of the power play or maybe a little spanking to at least make it a light Ds book.

Rating: 6/10PROS: - The sex is hot, and there’s not much here besides sex.- Leland’s redemptive scene is sweet (if not entirely convincing for me).CON:- Leland’s actions are rather egotistical, which caused me to form the opinion that he was a jerk right at the start of the story. The author does *try* to redeem him later on, but 248 Kindle locations simply wasn’t enough to convince me that my initial impression of his jerkiness was wrong.Overall comments: There’s not enough in a story this short to make me believe in a Happily Ever After. That said, this is one of the least angsty short stories I’ve read lately in this genre, so if you like shorter works, this one might be a good choice for you. less
