review 1: Imagine X-Men, but better. Sam and her friens have spent their whole lives in a school for kids with special talents, talents that are rented out to the richest and most powerful people in the world. But a dark secret lurks within the sanctuary they call home, and time is running out. Forbidden Mind introduces this world and really hooked me in. Forbidden Fire, after a slow start in the first two chapters, picked up and Forbidden Life left me breathless. Highly recommend this.
review 2: I received a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. Wow! This was a fantastic trilogy, it really did remind me of X-Men, with the school for kids with special gifts. The only difference was that intentions here became severely misguided. The kids decide that th
... moreeir only chance for survival is to escape. The four main characters of this story are truly amazing. Although Sam didn’t support violence or using mind control, I don’t think they’d have survived otherwise. I loved Lucy and Luke throughout the trilogy, they were so strong in spirit, it was just amazing. Drake, I had a love/hate for. I know he meant well, but some things could have been done differently. This was a great series, one that will be hard to top! less
