review 1: What a beautiful thing it is when I see an author I love has a new book out, and then when I find that she or he has started a new series that is even better! Kasey Michaels has started a new series about the Redgraves. My only question is when is the next book coming out??!! This is Gideon, the Earl of Saltwood, and Jessica Lindon's story. Jessica, a widow, has recently discovered that her father and step-mother died in a carriage accident and now wants to have custody of her younger brother. Gideon happens to have the guardianship of her brother so she appears before him telling him that she wants him to come and live with her. And of course with every great romance sparks fly between the two of them. However, what I love about Kasey's books is that there is always adven... moreture, suspense, romance - you know all those elements in a really great book. They discover that their parents were both involved in a club, not a very good club, where it's members seem to all be suffering from accidental deaths. The club has been one that has been around for some duration and the new members are those that are next in line in the family and Jessica has grave concerns for her brother that his life may be in danger. So Jessica and Gideon work together to discover who is behind all these deaths.
review 2: Entertaining, but it felt more like a mystery with a side of romance rather than the other way around. The sex scenes were rather glossed over so if you are looking for smut, pass on this one. If you're looking for fun, interesting characters with great banter give this one a read. I do have to say that the plot got really confused at the very end but it wasn't enough to make me not want to read the next one. less
