review 1: I was lucky enough to win this book in a prize recently and having loved the cover couldn't wait to read it! It has a lovely mix of characters and what I loved about this book is that it make me laugh and cry (a couple of times at least!!) also a bit saucy at times, which was unexpected!! Gabe is a lovely character and I kept imagining him as a young Pierce Brosnan (which wasn't unpleasant!!) I could really see this book adapted into a film, it was really a lovely read and had to finish it on the train as I only had a few pages left to read but had to go on a trip up to London! One book I really couldn't wait to see what happened in the end, but sad now that I have finished it!!
review 2: What a corker of a book, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this romantic tale!... more Great characters, written with depth and feeling. I warmed to them all, fell ever so slightly in love with Gabe, and found I didn't want to put the book down once I started it. There is plenty of humour that had me laughing out loud and poignant moments that bought a lump to my throat. Really great! I look forward to more books from Kat French. less
