review 1: I think I would have given it three stars if it wasn't for the first person inner turmoil baloney. I think some people like that sort of writing but I just don't have the patience for it. It would have been a perfect short story if the author had left out all the "I don't know what I'm going to do with my life?" dribble. Again, a lot of people like that flowery language. So this may be the book for you. I did really enjoy how the author told the story from the viewpoint of the victim. It was like reading two stories. You find out who the killer is at around the same time as the main character comes to a terrifying realization.
review 2: Recent college graduate Becca becomes obsessed with the murder of college student Amelia Anne. Becca is headed to college, alt
... morehough that means letting go of her high school drop out boyfriend. Told in alternate chapters, Becca's first person POV and Amelia Anne's in third, the two young women's lives parallel and intersect in surprising ways.AMELIA ANNE IS DEAD AND GONE had been on my amazon wigs list for a year. When the price dropped I snatched a copy for my kindle. What a huge disappointment. The novel was filled with flowery prose that never grabbed my attention or made me care about Becca or who killed Amelia Anne. This book contained zero tension. Becca lacked personal it, and while I liked Amelia Anne, she was difficult to root for because she was dead. The best part of this novel is the title. Save your money and get the book from the library if you decide to waste your time. less
