review 1: I read the synopsis and thought this would be something right up my alley. However, this is a DNF for me. I enjoyed the characters in the beginning but I could not stand the heroine, Elle. She seemed to be one thing in the very beginning but then was very cold and snobby. I could not understand why the hero, Gabe, continued to pursue her with the way she treated him. Elle grated on my nerves on how she not only treated Gabe but seemingly everyone else. I hope the her character got better farther along in the story but there wasn't enough interest in me to finish the story.
review 2: Audiobook version. 2 1/2 stars.This book started out really good. Heroine plans to seduce her hot boss by sneaking into his bed, only to find out it wasn't him in the bed, bu... moret instead his older tatted up brother. And that's where the good ended for me. I don't know if it was because I was listening to the audio version or what, but the main character Elle just came off as whiney and bitchy. It was very hard to like her and relate to her. Nothing Gabe did was ever right. And I don't know why he put up with her for so long. After several attempts to win her over she finally came around, but she still at times had attitude towards him. I think the hardest part for me to believe was that their whole relationship spanned over two weeks. That is a very short period of time to 'fall for someone' especially since half the time he was trying to get in good graces with her. This story had potential, but for me unfortunately it just fell flat. less
