review 1: Story of Nathan and Chelsea who meet at his brother's wedding after not seeing each other for 8 years. Turns out they're married... they got married back in high school (and I'm still not clear why) but then he, without telling her, enlists in the Army and leaves. And now we wants her back.Chelsea seems to be dominated by her politico parents who do not approve of her life -- she's an artist and owns her own gallery which displays nudes! Shocking! (not). I really just rolled my eyes. This chick is supposed to be 25 or so and has no backbone. I hate characters like that. I could have tolerated her better had I understood her backstory or motivations. There were none here. This is book 3 in a series... which I promptly forgot about when I picked this up to finally rea... mored it. I've been wavering as to weather or not this was a problem. I felt a little like I got thrust into a story where the only people who know the back story are the author and the two main characters. I was confused about what was going on a lot of the time. There are elements the author tried to introduce to get these two together... but it felt forced. I hope this series is over.
review 2: We first got to meet Nathan in Wrong Bed, Right Guy and I immediately wanted to get his story. He’s so different from his brother Gabe and there was definitely a mystery there that I wanted to figure out. While I was definitely into Nathan, I wasn’t 100% sold on Chelsea in the beginning. She kind of seemed like a spoiled brat. I totally understood why she was hurt, but to run like she did, for as long as she did, was kind of ridiculous.I loved that Nathan wasn’t going to give up without a fight, even after eight years apart. There was no doubt in his mind that they were meant to be together and he didn’t care what he had to do to make Chelsea realize that. They both definitely needed time to grow up and deal with their daddy issues (his abandoned him, hers was a controlling politician) before they could truly be good for each other. I’m not sure that eight years was what they needed, but it did the trick. This was really great from beginning to end, although I did have to suspend belief (really, neither of them had sex for 8 years?!? Sweet, but I’m not sure anyone could do that…well I couldn’t anyway). I’m a big fan of Katee Robert and I cannot wait for her next book. She’s definitely won me over with her characters and her ability to tell a great heartwarming, yet sexy story. less
