review 1: Hair is a big deal. And apparently it always has been! I loved reading about different styles and fads and treatments throughout the ages and around the world. I can't believe some of the gross things people have done for the sake of beauty, though. Yuck! We still do some pretty strange things, I'm sure. Or at least some things that will seem strange when we look back on them. This book and the topic of hair - historically and currently - would be a lot of fun to discuss.
review 2: This one is definitely intended for younger kids. There isn't a lot of information in the main section, but the paintings are beautiful and often funny. And there is a more interesting information included in the back for curious slightly older kids or grown-ups. I wish the informati
... moreon was a little bit more substantial in the main section of the book as well, a happy medium between fluffy and informative would have been better, but it's a cute book with an interesting perspective on history. less
