On October 4, 1990 “Beverly Hills, 90210” made its debut on Fox and began its 10 season run. The show followed the lives of a group teenagers as they dealt with the issues of high school, as well as the transition into young adulthood. The show was set in the upscale neighborhood of Beverly Hills, while attending West Beverly Hills High School, and as the series progressed, California University. The show helped make Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth, and Torrie Spelling household names, as well as teen idols in the 90s. While the show faced its own drama with various rumors circulating about the cast (e.g. fights between Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty), the show also addressed various real-life issues such as drug abuse, sex, eating disorders, violence, and may more. The show was created by Darren Star, while produced by Aaron Spelling, with a reboot, “90210,” debuting in 2008.
