review 1: 'Bloodborn' is a medical procedural mystery with recent social issues like domestic and legal abuse with a few coincidences but lots of interesting facts. Actually the third Kathryn Fox novel with doctor sleuth Anya Crichton I've read. Can be read as a stand alone. At times it slips into too much research detail , but it's a change to have such a well informed and experienced author. Some intellelligent twists.
review 2: Anya is back and involved in a series of brutal rapes some ending in deaths that seems to be the work of a pack of brothers from a family that is known to be serial criminals. Through the trials more is brought to light about the family, those that are working on the cases, and the victims and their families. Through out the book you think y... moreou know where the author is going, but there are clever twists through out the book and you feel slightly happy with the outcome. less
