review 1: 'Bloodborn' is a medical procedural mystery with recent social issues like domestic and legal abuse with a few coincidences but lots of interesting facts. Actually the third Kathryn Fox novel with doctor sleuth Anya Crichton I've read. Can be read as a stand alone. At times it slips into too much research detail , but it's a change to have such a well informed and experienced author. Some intellelligent twists.
review 2: Anya is back and involved in a series of brutal rapes some ending in deaths that seems to be the work of a pack of brothers from a family that is known to be serial criminals.
