review 1: The Debutante is a funny Contemporary Young Adult novel that shows one that change isn't always as bad as it seems. The main character, Annie, is relatable and well-writtten. I didn't enjoy Annie's Alabama friends as much, the group as a whole didn't seem to portray the unique and layered personalities that Annie and her family had. Overall the plot was interesting and exciting, I will definitely be reading more books by Williams.
