review 1: This book made ma laugh out loud... and not in a good way. And then it made me toss it over to my "to be returned to the library" pile before I finished reading it, also not a good thing. I had a hard time believing that this author has published a number of books, because her writing is that ridiculous. I have never seen one author use one word (namely, "tarnation") SO many times in one book. It was ridiculous and laughable! I found the story completely, completely ridiculous (and I don't really have high standards for these kinds of books). Skip this one.

Really fell hard for this Relics of Merlin series - historical fiction meets Harry Potter. Loved it.
