review 1: I got this from a Goodreads First Reads Giveaway. I liked this but I didn't love it. The story was interesting but it started to get a little unbelievable towards the end. I don't mind reading Christian fiction but it's hard when the book becomes really preachy. It got a little too much for me. I don't know of it's because it's nothing new to me as a Christian but it didn't flow. It got a bit redundant, which might have to do with the flow problem. This is the first book I've read by this author. Another thing I didn't like was that i had the whole book figured out from the prologue. So knowing exactly who did what from the absolute beginning kind of made the book drag, while they were catching up.
review 2: An absolutely wonderful read by a new author (for me)
... more. I will definitely be looking for more of her books. Not by Sight had romance, suspense, mystery, and times that made me shed some tears, so I'd say it has it all! Books like this help us examine our own faith in the times that aren't so good; the doubts rise up and we wonder how a good God could let these things happen. Why is it that in the times we need God's wisdom and comfort the most, we often reject Him totally and say He doesn't care? I loved getting to know the Cummings family, and look forward to the next book in the series to visit them again! less

Interesting plot but VERY long-winded and drawn out. Also lots of preaching.
Awesome! So glad to see a storyline set in Arkansas!
