review 1: The second book in the Vegas Top Guns series is actually the third book that I've read. I'm glad that I read Ryan & Cass's story and Leah and Mike's story before this one or I may not have continued with the series.I just couldn't bring myself to like Heather or Jon. While I understood that they each had their issues, they still just seemed shallow and self-absorbed and I didn't particular care whether or not they ended up together. While they were supposedly falling for each other, they appeared to do everything they could to make the other one feel bad about wanting a relationship. And the sex just seemed constantly angry or emotionless.I still am planning to read the last two books in the series. I hope they are better than this one and I'm back to giving them 4 st... morears instead of just the 2 that this book deserved.
review 2: Wasn't so sure starting out with this book if I liked it or not - the first encounter was not what I expected at all but as their night together progressed, it got so much better!! It was nice to catch up with Cass and Ryan again, and see Leah come off her train-wreck trails, maybe. We also get our first glimpses of Dash and Kisser for books four and five. Jon certainly lives up to his call name for unswerving loyalty and you spend the book almost completely in the dark about what is going on with Heather? You get hints of her wildness of her past but her actions and reactions to some of Jon's words and actions make you want to slap her sometimes! She makes up for it at the end though, and it is a wild ride to get there with these two!! less
