review 1: This short intrigued me, it made me want to read more about these shifters and their history. I thought the history between Owen and Gabriella was interesting. I don’t blame Gabriella for running when she overheard Owen. I was glad that she told him so that he knew why Gabriella cut him off. The rest of things went about how you thought they would. I was happy with how things ended for them.
review 2: Gabriela has returned home to her family in Bear Mountain, Montana after being away for ten years. She has left the stress of her job behind, while mourning a loss that has saddened her deeply. Looking to get away from it, she seeks the comforts of family and home. Nothing goes according to plan and upon arriving in town she is swept up (more like hauled aw... moreay) into the drama surrounding some recent attacks on humans.Owen’s entire pack is on edge. They know that a jaguar shifter is responsible for the recent attacks on the humans. They just don’t know which one is responsible for these grisly killings. The sudden reappearance of Owen’s one time friend and almost lover is another surprise, especially considering how he finds out that she is in town. Now that she is back he has full intentions of getting answers as to what happened back then. Novella length books work best for me when the hero and heroine have a past. Owen and Gabriela have not seen each other in ten years. He still does not know why she ended their friendship so abruptly. They both recognize that the attraction is still there and they don’t waste any time exploring why there could be a very good thing between them. less
