review 1: 4.5 starsI’ll be the first to admit that I don’t always love secret baby stories, but since the baby is still so young, and Charlotte supplies a very believable explanation, I let it go and really enjoyed these two.Charlotte loves Kell, and Kell loves Charlotte, circumstances have kept them apart because Charlotte wasn’t ready to love again, but once she’s back with Kell and with their son right there bonding them, they both learn to love the idea of being in love with each other.I really enjoyed the idea and the neat aspect of Charlotte witnessing a crime and then being targeted because of it. Kell is a strong man, and watching him melt with his son, well that really made me fall in love. I give Ms. Reus major applause for writing a story with a baby but still bal... moreancing them falling in love because they love each other and not because of the baby.I recommend this story, it’s full of suspense, and a lovely warm fuzzy of feeling of love at the end.
review 2: I love these books so much. So many alpha-male-protector books make the women insipid, weak, and stupid. None of the women in the Red Stone Security books are anything close. They are smart, strong, and can take care of themselves. They may get themselves into situations where they need the men to rescue them, but not by their own fault. Case in point from another book in this series. Protector (doing his job), kills a man. Said man's brother vows revenge. Sees that protector is dating someone, targets her. But though the woman is a target, she's smart. She doesn't go wandering back alleys at night. She doesn't duck her protector or hide from him. She might narrowly escape death, but not in a way that SHE courted in any way. This is another solid entry in the series. Kell is like all the men of Red Stone, strong, a little overbearing, but one who falls in love fully and completely and is totally devoted to his woman. Charlotte is strong and smart, the mother of Kell's son, and isn't running from her feelings. These are romance novels, so you know that man and woman are going to end up together, but it's always rewarding how they get there. Though if I were anyone else in Miami, I might stay the heck away from any Red Stone Security employees because danger always seems to follow them. That said, they can handle it. less
