review 1: This is the second in this series that I have read and I feel like I have missed something in it. The main characters have already met and there are referrals to their meeting but I'm just jumping into an already established relationship. That feels weird to me when I haven't read about them previously. Perhaps there is another series that explains them? I am not sure. The writing was enjoyable and the characters were well written but I just don't enjoy not "meeting" the characters when they meet each other. That's a first for me but obviously a biggie.
review 2: This is my favorite Serafina book so far (I've read 4). Jay and Ellie are such a dream couple. Even when Ellie takes off, it's only to protect Jay. And she doesn't leave for long. The two are together ... morefor most of the book, working unitedly to solve Ellie's problems from her past. They have chemistry and unconditional love throughout the book. Throw in the suspense and mystery and you have a really good book. less
