review 1: Great book for a light read. Plot was predictable, almost too predictable, except for one scene at the very end that surprised me. Good character development with many interesting minor characters. Great setting of the scene for the city. I had minor issues with George and Anne initially referring to themselves as unattractive; somehow this made it harder for me to pull for them in the beginning. However, after a while, I grew to like them. Good romance development between the two main characters. Language and grammar was super; I have no complaints. I loved the ending scene, though I partially saw it coming.
review 2: This was my first experience with Kaye Dacus, and I happened upon her by accident. I won a copy of the second book in this series, Menu For Rom
... moreance, from a Goodreads giveaway and my OCD nature wouldn't allow myself to read it without reading the first book. Yes, the storyline is very similar to the movie The Wedding Planner, but with a few different twists. I really enjoyed all of the characters and I couldn't put the book down - I finished it in 24 hours! I am now reading Menu For Romance and look forward to reading more stories by Kaye Dacus. less

Juvenile and boring. "Lord, why did you put this man in my path if he's already taken?" Bleh.

Good beach read. Some parts are a bit predictable but it is a fun, clean summer romance.

Slow and overly religious
