review 1: Frustrating. He misunderstands her, she doesn't know that the didn't know she was real when he dropped her off that cliff. Ugh. The whole book is glimpses of Varen and him almost being there, but he is only shadows. And poor Pinfeathers couldn't make her understand that the was a part of Varen. ;( I understood much sooner and it just made me want to shake her when she wouldn't trust him. And Reynolds working for Lilith?Figures - jerk. I wondered about him. He seems to want to do the right thing, but screw him. >.Now to wait for #3? Gah!!!
review 2: Seriously not enough Varen in this one and why is Isobel so fricking dumb?!?! She NEVER does anything she's told. She doesn't listen to any information given her. She questions EVERYTHING told to her but in the dumbe... morest way possible. Very aggravating. I don't think Reynolds is all that bad if she'd just fricking listen to him! Instead she blunders about and gets into more trouble. She fits the dumb blonde cheerleader stereotype too well. I really don't like her and it made this book very hard to even finish. less
