review 1: I read this to my 12 year old daughter and it was a lot of fun! She never wanted me to stop reading and every chapter was a surprise!! A girl who is a shut-in at her home forced to be a slave to her mom and dad who are mainly cruel to her. One day her curiousity leads to a discovery which starts her amazing adventures, flying, talking to animals, lion taming, sewer crawling, being kidnapped, to name just a few. I highly recommend!! (Warning though, it uses the phrase "freaking genius" three times, but it's okay. The book is worth it. My 8 year old and 6 year both listened).
review 2: Oh my goodness! I laughed from beginning to end in this book. I will be using this book in my book talks with the elemetary kids. It reminds me of Roald Dahl's books. My
