review 1: Such a good read! Love/Hate relationship that the heroine secretly in love with the hero since her childhood is one of my fave. I really like the first part of the book, Prologue and charter one.. really cute! but.. I don't know, the story is kinda lack of something for me. Maybe the romance seem too forced? Cole and Jolie love each other too fast? I just expect more hatred, intense moments.. kind of that. hahaa Anyway, the ending is so cute. A fun read, though. ;)
review 2: This novel is a short novel, but its defiantly down for being frilling. It entertaining. Its right up my street. Nothing wrong with this book at all. I want to say i love it, but i think thats crossing the line. This book is like the book you only read once, but remember parts of the story.... more The moments that only connect you as a person individually.This book is all about two families. One family – married couple, man and woman, a son and a daughter. Other family, Mum and daughter. Both daughters are the same age. The son is older than the daughters. The women both love the same man. Im not sure whether the man actually loves his wife, but i do know for certain he loves the mum.This story is all based on the girl who only has her mum as family. She never new about her mother affair until one day no one- not even her best friend- who happens to be the other daughter, talked to her. They stopped seeing her for who she was, and only seeing what they thought because of the outbreak of the affair. they see her as a whore, as well as her mother in the same manner. People dont care to hear the other side of the story, they just condemn her to sadness and loneliness because they hate the fact that the affair broke something. It changed everything. Shes also suffering but they dont see that, they think she knew all the time, that she relished in it. that she got treated to expensive things etc, but she didnt. shes had it hard just like everyone else.Know that the man is dead, people are starting to realise that she was hurt too, more than anyone else.Its clear that the story is based on Joile, the daughter with only the mum, and Cole the son in the other family.Cole has been denying his feeling for joile for a long time, way before he even knew about the affair, but hes never let anything happen, because he blames her partly for the change.He blames the looks that she has, the enchantment that her and her mother have. hes blaming there beauty for corrupting his father, for making him cheat.Cole is a sensible man he just doesnt realise, well he doesnt want to realise that he father was also to blame.The day has come where Cole and Joile are to bump into one another again. Jolie tries to keep herself disguised but trouble arises and now cole knows who is along side him in this storm, a storm were they both got hut. They are both now alone on a hill side in a hunt, with nothing.--being stranded gave them a chance, which they dont realise, to see each other views and feeling into how the affair affected them both.Cole realises that the Tanners where telling the truth that they took no money when given or never used a penny of his fathers money. But it would seem none of coles family is up to believing them. I guess you could say Cole has mixed feelings due to the fact that he has now slept with Joile as well as has feelings for her. But then again you could say that coles family are in denial about the tanners because they dont want to believe or blames the man they loved and cherished to be purely at fault.Jolie like Cole a hell of a lot but shes trying to forget what happened, but it would seem fate is coursing through there lifes. It would seem that even the man who is at fault for loving one woman but staying with another, is a man that is suppose to be dead, but it seem his spirit wont rest. he may be dead, he may be gone from the equations but his will is left be hind. He has brought a house as well as a flat for Joile and left a hell of a lot of money for her mother, of course they knew nothing about this, expcet of course her mother knowing about the buildings for joile, but never the other. But its obvious Cole and his family arent exactly happy about it. It would also seem Cole has to make a decision, one that for some may not be so hard, but im guessing it shall be hard for Cole.He has to make choice between building his fathers business the way it is suppose to be with his family beside him, or Joile the women he has never had such feelings for. He need his bitter family to help him in keeping the business and making arrangements as well as for recovering the damage that was made through the storm, but he has to make this choice against the only women he has ever wanted more than once. A woman that gets on his nerves and wants again and again, he wants to start seeing Jolie again, but thats not going to happen. No way ho-sa through the way his family acts towards the tanners.--When you just think everything is going just the way you want it, something bad happens. Thats how Joiles world is turning out to be. It would seem Cole wanted to continue seeing her after, when she had left to go back to her life a few towns away, as well as back to a job that she loves and dreams for. So they had come up with a routine, a routine Joile wasnt ready to give up, who doesnt want to give it up.The routine was planned for Cole to fly down to hers every weekend, and spend his time with her in her flat and in her world. But i guess time comes for when cole wants his dreams to be his reality. He wants Jolie to be in his life, for people to see, not for dark corners to see or for weekends only. He wants to be in her life, he wants her in his life everyday. He wants her by his side, he wants to be by her side, but it would seem his bitter mother is not going to allow such a thing to take place or to be formed. Jolie had never done anything to upset his mother, but it would seem his mother cant see her differently all because she is the woman who had an affair with her husbands daughter.She cant seem to let the past be settle and so know she is taking it out on cole. She going to make him chose, his family or his lover, a tanner of all. Shes going to make him choose just like she had made Hannah choose years ago.Time has come for where Cole needs Joile the most. He wants to bring her into his life, for her to go to his at the weekends as well as. It would seem they manage to agree on that, but hes now asked for her to attend a meal where is family is going to be, for the world to see that cole is dating Joiles tanner.Shes nervous about it, but she didnt know that the meal was for him to try and win peoples votes for keeping the business. She finds out through Hannah. Its now making me wonder if Joile is actually going to stick around or is she going to do what she does beast and flee.Cole needs her, Hes fed up of the past. Of the constant reminders that hes nothing like his father, and that business needs to be run like his father had run it. He wants to forget the past, he wants to move on with the woman he loves, but it would seem he will have to make a choice, but what will he chose?--Just another mountain to climb.FinishedEndings are always worth reading, they give you the ending everyone deserves, that everyone wants.A book is not the same without the happy ever after less
