review 1: I am a huge fan of Blanchard & Miller's 1st book, The Secret, so I was very excited about this book which focuses on the need and e path to personal growth in leaders. Truth be told, I skipped over the leader-fable aspects of the book because I don't find these incredibly helpful. Instead, I jumped to the meat of the book, which can be read in an hour if you're not distracted. What I love about Blanchard & Miller's books is that they provide a simple formula that can be unpacked for a long time and returned to over and over again. I will certainly return to this book and recommend this book as a wonderful introduction to personal growth for leaders.
review 2: At first I was skeptical about this book. I thought it might be a gimmick based book to snag the intere... morest of business travelers stuck in an airport in need of reading material. It’s a short book that can be easily read during an airplane flight and is written by leaders in the field.However, even though the writing wasn’t excellent (ie. “fitted” instead of “fit” used in a sentence), the content won me over little by little.It’s a great book whether you are a business leader, civic leader, church leader, or merely an individual looking for a way to grow personally. The concepts and tools presented can be immediately applied to your situation. And, even if you already know all of the material presented, the content and exercises prove to be a great refresher.I highly recommend it - - one for yourself and several as gift books. less
