review 1: Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ... moreASAP.
review 2: I read books 5-11 of this series over the course of two weeks, so they blend together in my head. All of the books are paranormal romance with some mystery elements. The good thing about this series is that the author varies her romance formula more than most. Another good thing: good guys almost never die. (It's not an urban fantasy, despite the contemporary urban settings.) Worst thing about this series is the silly too-cute book titles. The writing is much better than the titles suggest, and the stories are not rip-offs of popular contemporary books.This book starts with the aftermath of book 10. Corky Current went evil and posted a YouTube video exposing vampires as real, and for some unexplainable reason, enough people are taking it seriously to scare the vamps. They send Gregori to talk to the US president (along with Sean Whealan, who was turned vamp to save his life near the end of book 10). Gregori falls for one of the president's daughters, Abby, who is a brilliant biochemist and devoted to curing her terminally ill mother. They go on a trip to China to collect medicinal plants and stumble upon demon Dare's pet project, which involves Master Han, a bad vampire. less
