review 1: This book was beyond amazing and I loved the writing style with the dreams and little paragraphs of Isadora's thoughts. I have been in love with anything Egyptian since 3rd grade and this book was so captivating for me because i get caught up in the Egyptian stories! I loved the main character so much and I could relate to her in some peculiar ways. I can't wait to read more by Kiersten White because she has a great writing style! Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mythology and strong main characters!
review 2: A different take on the whole "humans descended from mythic gods" thing that Rick Riordan made popular. I liked the interior design parts, and learning about mythology interests me. But...the main character was rude, and mean, and s... moreurly, and I didn't really like her in a lot of ways. I did appreciate an exploration of mother/daughter problems, but it kind of got old. And not a lot went on. And I also figured out the whole "Greek" thing within the first few pages. less
