The P-wave is the first to arrive at the seismograph stations. It is compressional in nature. S-waves follow. Interestingly, the ones that will cause the devastation are the surface waves that are elliptical in nature. Analytically speaking, imagine a holy man meeting a sinner. Do they have the same frequency? Of course not and that is why there’s a balance in nature. Had every men and women were of the same height and intellect, would there ever be a variation or a deviation from the standards?
Even in the modern relationships, most of the people desire to be on the same page thinking that it would bring peace. If something comes too easy, it won’t last long. (I don’t intend to discourage anyone of similar types though
