review 1: Wow, what a cool story. Very unusual, way too short and a major surprise from beginning to end. If you like experiments with different kinds of D/s situations, you shouldn't miss this one. It made me laugh as well as think about what it really means to be a Dominant. Reading this might make you question that a little as well.Overall, a very clevelry written short story with a hallmark Kim Dare sex scene thrown in to make it perfect.
review 2: It was immensely interesting to see the note in the beginning of the book, which tells us that the book was inspired by a photo taken at a real life Pride parade.  I did go look at the picture first, and it gave me a great visual in my head for the story. That being said, the story itself is very short, told is alternati
... moreng POV, starting with Ben, who is jogging in the park when he comes across a strangely dressed, completely silent man.  Stopping to make sure the man is okay, Ben feels the pull of attraction, even as he worries how unsafe it is to take the man hope.  Ben even carries the man at one point.  I had high hopes for it until they get to Bens apartment. This is when the story switches to the oddly dressed man's POV, who we find out is named Luke.  While he seemed cute and we can see the Dom surfacing, once his reason for going after Ben (who he repeatedly just refers to in his head as "the submissive", which made Luke seem even less likeable), appears, I lost respect for him.  Since it is so short, we don't get to find out what happens when Ben finds out why Luke is with him.  Lukes internal declaration of "forever" seemed contrived.  less
