review 1: This book, which started with such a promising beginning, had absolutely nothing new to add to this genre. Gruenenfelder simply copied the same format, characters, and plot of what has unfortunately come to be called chick lit. These are characters that were cute and fun in the first 5-10 books of this type, but now have just become insultingly ignorant, weak, and unintelligent immersed in formulaic plots. With absolutely nothing to set this particular book apart, it became boring and predictable very quickly.
