review 1: Samantha, the heroine, made this book amazing. I adored her pluckiness and her quick tounge. She reminded me of myself. Hide your hurt and insecurity behind all the sass you can give. Sam meets and sleeps with Cesare, a client in her sister-in-law's rental property, while helping out as a cleaner. Twelve weeks later, she shows up at his office to give him some surprising news. However the surprise is on her. He's blind. Cesare cannot forget the girl she slept with in Scotland and when she shows up at his office, he has to wonder about her motives. It was a great story. Cesare is bossy, controlling and funny. Sam lets him have it at every turn. I loved the relationship between these two. Characters like this make reading romance novels fun.
review 2:
... more This was nothing special or different as far as Harlequin Presents, but it was a pleasant read. I gave it four stars because I reall like Kim Lawrence's writing, although it probably is more like 3 stars. Definitely a book for those who like blind heroes although he does recover his sight about halfway through the book. Heroine has a bit of an inferiority complex. She sounds pretty attractive, but seems to measure her petite, violet-eyed, redheaded look against tall, stacked blondes. I was thinking, I thought violet eyes were pretty special. Mind you, her fiance had cheated on her, so that would definitely contribute to her issues. A good book to pass the time after a long, hard week. less
