review 1: Molly James is an Botany teacher of the all-girls school in England, went to visit the kingdom of Zarhat where his two half-brothers live, Tariq and Khalid, The two brothers are the sons of her mother's first marriage to the sheikh of Zarhat King Hakim. She visited there to mend fences with his two brothers through her pregnant best friend Bea who happens to be married to Tariq. There was awkwardness but to Molly surprise his two brother warm-up immediately including the King she thinks the King would despise her because she is the daughter of his ex-wife second marriage but no the king welcome her with kindness.Crown Prince Tair Al Shamal heir to the throne of Zabrania is Tariq and Khalid first cousin, his and his cousin's father are siblings, but unlike his father, his u... morencle is a ruler of his own kingdom who put the welfare of his people before his own while his father King Malik has milking their kingdom with his high standard lifestyle. During the banquet which was held by his uncle King Hakim's kingdom, Tair notices the closeness between Tariq and the Englishwoman who he refer as a Ms Mouse. He got angry with their closeness. So he thinks the English girl is trying to seduce Tariq, he got furious and disgusted that he is the only one who notices the blatant closeness of the the two, he does not want to witness his cousin's marriage to be ruin by a nobody like shy mouse-like lady who wears spectacles and dresses in potato sack. He is so convince that she want's to seduce Tariq so he decided to teach her a lesson. He kidnaps Molly to the desert he was surprise to find Molly stubbornness, strong willed nature. She became feisty beautiful irresistible woman in his eyes. At first he fight his attraction to Molly and Molly did the same. She hates Tair for kidnapping her, although she is trying to tell him the she is Tariq and Khalid secret half-sister. (Ofcourse he has no idea on Molly's true identity, nobody knows except King Hakim, her brothers and Bea.) but still Tair did not believe her and accuse her of lying and desperate which later on he found out that Molly is indeed telling him the truth. Later on he could no longer kept his attraction to Molly so he seduce her to bed. When his Grandfather arrived in the camp, followed by Tariq and Khalid, the cousins had a row and Tariq demanded Tair to marry his sister which Molly refuses. She does not want to get married to Tair out of honorable duty, she found the arrangement barbaric and insane. So she refused and returns back to England and continue her life. Later on she found out she was pregnant. The love story of of Tair and Molly is wonderful and fun to read although I admit I have difficulty connecting on the first part of the story but as it progress it gets interesting. Tair's love to Molly is amazing he drops everything to see her again in Bea's birthday party held in London. Tair confesses that he missed Molly and that he loves her very much and when Molly told him she is pregnant he is all over the moon. What I like best and I think he highlight of the story is when King Hakim's announces Molly's true identity to all the people in the party while his two half-brother escorted her to the front she was very happy that she no longer hides her true relationship to his half-brothers and that the King welcomes her warmly and wholehearted, then followed by Tair's one bended-knee public marriage proposal. Amazing :)
review 2: Desert Prince, Defiant Virgin kicks off with an exciting and intriguing first few chapters that set the bar for sexual tension very high, but unfortunately the story does not live up to the expectations that are raised in those first few exchanges. Both Molly and Prince Tair are compelling characters and there seemed to be a fair amount of heat building between them. It's regrettable that their coming together seems completely unrealistic – even in the world of romance books! I expected more resistance on Molly's part than to give in so quickly to a man who would think the horrible things Tair does of her character. Not to mention the fact that even though he thinks of her as a liar and whore, he still wants to possess her.Miss Lawrence's writing style is very fresh and her characters, including the intriging family of siblings I hope get their own stories, are well described and come to life for the reader. That makes the missing connection between the two lead characters so disappointing. The story is a good one with some new and interesting twists, and the writing is quick paced and engaging, but I wish the story would have been further along before Molly and Tair did the deed – time for him to see the real side of her and question his assumptions of her.I recommend Desert Prince, Defiant Virgin as a entertaining read, especially if you are a fan of Sheikh/Virgin storyline. less
