review 1: The humor and off-beat characters carry this story. It's good to be reminded occasionally that having rich and famous parents isn't what kids want. Liam wants love and acceptance from his father. This frustrated me (since he ISN'T going to get it!). He really does screw up incessantly. We get to be inside his head, so we know why he's doing things, but it's clear that the rest of the world is seeing him differently. His inability to open up and tell his Uncle what's going on in his head made me a bit crazy, but seemed true to the age.
review 2: Liam Geller, a boy who has it all, the pretty girls, the clothes and popularity, until he does something that got his dad so mad, he gets kicked out the house to go with with his grandparents. But Liam doesn't like them... more, so he calls up his gay "aunt" Pete who lives in a trailer in upstate New York. where he mets a girl next door, then goes to a new school where he tires to not act popular but ends off being Mr. Popularity all over again. He tells him self his nothing and worthless because of his dad, but his aunt and his partner and their friends knows better and ends up being an okay guy. less
