review 1: A fairly gripping story all the way through but, maybe, I’ve read too many books in this genre because I could tell what the big twists were long before they came. Some other elements of the story still surprised me so I’ll give the author credit for keeping me reading with interest. It felt a little rushed and muddled at the end though, almost like the story could have carried on for another few chapters but the author had run out of steam. Pretty good book if you’re looking for an easy page turner with some dark undertones.
review 2: If I am going to rate a book as one star, it is rare that I ever even bother to read the whole novel. The Never List read like a fiction account of the horrific cases we read about in the paper every few years - stories of
... more people being abducted and then miraculously found alive after several years. I picked up Never List because Goodreads listed Zan as "the most relentless, deeply disturbing thriller writer since Jeffery Deaver and Gillian Flynn." I strongly disagree. Skip this one. less

Bad cliche writing. Would not recommend. Poor dialogue and confounding plot.
