review 1: I really liked A Billion Reasons Why. At first I really didn’t like Luc, but by the end of the book when I found out all of the hows and whys of everything I was cheering for him. Katie was kind of the opposite for me. She started to annoy me in the middle. It’s one of those instances where I want to yell at the character because I can plainly see that she is making the wrong choices for what she thinks are the right reasons. In the end I felt like the journey they took was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.
review 2: I have to say I was disappointed with this book. I am a big fan of Kristin Billerbeck's previous books and I was looking forward to reading this book as well. The main character, Katie, was not a strong character. She never knew what s
... morehe wanted till the very end. Also, as a previous reviewer stated, Katie's mother and friend were never consistent. They liked and disliked Luc and different times and Eileen seemed to encourage and discourage Katie's relationship with Dexter. There were moments when the dialogue was sloppy and seemed rushed. Near the end of the book there was even a time when I was reading dialogue between Katie and her mother and then all of sudden Eileen is there when she wasn't before. That being said, the main plot for the book was good. It could have been much better maybe if more time and thought were put into it. less
