review 1: Letters From Home was a slow burning, fairly clean romance novel for me. It's obvious from the beginning that the heroine will fall in love with the departing WWII soldier. The side stories of her roommates are intriguing too, and puts a new twist on what young, romantic lives were like for couples during the war. Mostly, I loved the depth of love the main couple realizes for each other from simply writing letters back and forth during the war. Words are everything!
review 2: I wasn't super excited to read this book because I am not really into Historical Fictions but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I recently read a ton of books by Cassandra Clare (author of The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices trilogy) and I grew used
... morethe the way she writes (plus I love how she writes). After reading all those books, I tried to read some other books and I was just disappointed by the way the author wrote compared to Cassandra Clare. But when I read this book I didn't experience that! I liked the way the author wrote the story and I loved the characters. Probably one of my favorite historical fictions! less
