review 1: Spades (Book One) is a solid, well written story. I found it to be completely intense. The characters are thoroughly developed and are very realistic. The details and the setting are so descriptive that I felt like I was actually in the scenes myself. I always read books before I let my daughter read them, and this book is totally suitable for a young adult. The main character, Calise, is a strong, young woman, who pulls the reader into the story. In reference to the other reviews that complained that the story didn't have an ending, the fact that it is titled "Book One" should have made them realize the story continued past this book. The plot twists kept me turning the pages and I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series. THUMBS... more UP!!
review 2: i enjoyed this book. is she crazy is she on dugs or just opened minded? she is saved by chris and he takes her under his wing and shows her the ropes of being a thief. noone else likes her and she starts to see and hear things. and you think she is going crazy but we learn differently. i wish it didnt end the way it did it started in the present andthen went to three months prier to when they all came together i wish it wouldve ended there too and not left such a big hanger. less
