review 1: I will admit that I was rather skeptical about reading graphic novels or comics. I was under the assumption that they were geared mostly for teenage males. But, then I discovered Rat Queens and I have never been so happy to be proven incorrect. Seriously. The story follows a unique quartet of women that all have their own quirky personalities and back stories. They are well written and hold nothing back. Betty is adorable, whimsical, and downright hilarious. Violet has an interesting back story and is a total powerhouse. Hannah is intelligent, short tempered and beautiful. Dee, for me is the most relate-able. With friends she is social and conversational, but get her in a big group and she hides behind a book. The plot is great and leaves you hungry for more. I cannot wait... more to get my hands on the next installment and I will definitely be rereading these!
review 2: I liked this book , but it was so short I feel like the character development wasn't developed enough. The introduction of them seemed rushed. I can't wait to read more of the story because I really want to know more about these characters. What I do like about these characters is that every single on has such a different characteristic and I can think of a friend who fits each one, making them very relatable! You actually want to hang out with these characters! Can't wait to read more! less
