review 1: I have a general wariness of novels in verse, but I thought this one was better than most. Josh's voice rings true to me, and the story flows well, with enough hints and history that the events feel natural, realistic. I admit to not knowing a lot of 12 year old boys that invested in a girlfriend -- it would have felt more authentic to me if Josh and Jordan had been 14 -- but that's a minor quibble. This will be a fun book to share with kids in school.
