review 1: Anxiously Awaiting the Sequel!I loved this book! I was immediately pulled into the story and had a difficult time putting it down. I really enjoy reading this genre of book and I was pleased to not have any zombies show up...they just really aren't my favorites. :) I really enjoyed all of the characters and I liked how even though they all were from varied backgrounds, ages and personality types they quickly formed their own little "family". They really did care for and about each other. My two favorite characters were Maggie and Jake. As soon as I had finished the book I immediately went to see if there was a sequel out for it as the storyline kinda left you hanging. Was happy to find out there is one coming in July, just disappointed to have to wait a bit for it as I'm e... morextremely anxious to pick right back up where "Homeostasis Lost" left off at. Happy reading! :)
review 2: This book started slow for me. The first 10%, before the storylines converged, just seemed to lag. After that, I really enjoyed it and found myself thinking about the book even when I wasn't reading it. The character development is wonderful and they all seemed like very believable human beings. I like the nods to the older folks knowing the older ways (because it's true and all). I do hope there is a sequel and I want to read it, but I have a slight concern with where the story might go. We shall see. Overall, great work! less
