review 1: I love all the books in this series. Each book sets the stage for characters in following books. I really like that Ms. Adrain has not stuck to the normal, damsel in distress mode. Each female character is stronger than the one before. Jenna was not a character I was expecting. She seemed a filling character in the previous book. But she really shook up things in this book. I will not give any spoilers, that would spoil your chance to fall in love with her and Brock's story. I started this series in early August and I have been reading through them as fast as I can. I also claim they are the reason I read at night instead of going to bed. If you like strong men and equally strong females along with a tight consistent storyline through out the series pick up this series. Va... morempires, sorry Breed are not so much scary as they are sexy.
review 2: Jenna "Jen" Tucker-Darrow is no stranger to tragedy. She was involved in fatal car crash that killed her husband and young daughter four years prior. She's lucky to have survived The Ancient something no other person can claim Breed or human. Brock, a Breed Warrior for The Order, is in charge of taking care of Jenna per Lucan's instructions. He seems to be losing ground on many fronts which displeases him greatly. While he continues to carry out his plans against The Order and GenOne Breed.
